The site is situated 1.75 miles north of Horncastle. I covers 54 acres of land with about half of which being made into 6 fishing lakes which are regularly restocked.
There is parking at most pegs with some pegs designed for the disabled.
The site shop has the rudimentaries.. IE newspapers, soft drinks, gas and bait.


They claim the following top weights; Carp 22lb 7oz, Chub 5lb 6oz, Roach 2lb 9oz, Rudd 3lb 1oz Tench 8lb 6oz, Bream 9lb 13oz, Pike 28lb, Gudgeon 3oz, Eel 5lb 14oz and Perch 3lb 4oz.

 

The shower/toilet block is clean and warm but the showers and dish wash areas are coin operated and require 20P coins.


Each pitch gives two adults and two children with £1 for extra people per night.
Fishing Day ticket £5.
Fishing Day ticket if camping/caravanning on site £4.50.
Fishing Year ticket £112.

 

Local activities include:
Horse riding (tested by wife) East coast resorts (24 miles), Golf course and driving range, Good cycling (both tested this) market towns and Horncastle (Good historic walks)

This is a site we will be returning to even though we don't fish. The pitches are marked and spacious and the facilities modern and clean. we found the staff to by very helpful efficient and friendly.
