Camping la Plage

We would like to welcome you to Camping la Plage, an English, family-owned campsite in an unique and tranquil position situated directly on the River Dordogne in approximately 10 acres of woodland with private access to the river.
Family run 3 star campsite Open and Gîtes available May-September
Facilities for all the family, Bar with English satellite TV, Restaurant, Swimming pool, Play area for under tens, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, a games room with pool tables and a football table. On the river, canoeing and kayaking are 5 minutes walk over the bridge and fishing is accessible from the campsite. In addition, a short walk away is an assortment of local shops. We also offer manicures, pedicures, and waxing by an English qualified therapist, all on site.
All our Gîtes are situated near to the swimming pool area and comprise-
Ground Floor
Living area - Sofa bed, table and chairs; Kitchenette - Fridge / freezer box, microwave, electric hob, kettle
Bathroom - Shower, sink, bidet and toilet
Mezzanine; Twin beds
Terrace; Garden table and chairs, BBQ and utensils
All bed linen, hand and bath towels are supplied. (Towels are not to be taken to pool area).
Camping
Camping la Plage is open from May to 15th September.
We have accommodation for 75 tents, caravans, or motor caravans with a number of pitches overlooking the river we can also take RV's with prior notice.
All pitches are set under mature trees that provide excellent shade from the summer sun and have access to water and electricity points (15 amps).
There is also a public BBQ area with beautiful views over the river.
There are two toilet blocks with hot and cold water and both male and female shower and washing facilities. Dishwashing and laundry sinks are situated in these areas. Full use of all campsite facilities including the swimming pool.
Bar and Terrace
Our busy bar is open all year round. Special food nights and music nights held throughout the summer period, or you could just relax on our large terrace, eating al fresco and sampling some of the wines of the region and socialising with the locals. Live sporting events are shown on a large screen television, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday without missing your favourite sporting events, while the children play in the well-equipped and safe children's area.
Restaurant
The welcoming restaurant has rapidly gained a reputation amongst both the local population and numerous visitors as serving quality, local & International cuisine at realistic prices. Caters for all tastes (including Vegetarians).
Our central location means easy access to towns like Sainte-Foy-la-Grande (A Bastide Market Town) with it's busy market every Saturday morning, Montcaret, Duras, and Eymet are just a short drive away
The famous Saint-Emilion wine region with its magnificent monastery and vineyards is approximately 25-35 minutes away. Other well-known towns such as
