The venerable Château of La Bruyère rests majestically within a 12 hectare park amongst century old trees.
It dates back from the 17th century,
and has hosted several notable
families among them,
at the turn of the 20th century,
the Montebello's.
Maurice Lannes de Montebello
being the grandson of one of
the famous generals of Napoléon,
Mr de Montebello opened a farm with a milk factory
and produced a Camembert called the "Roi de Rome".
In the 1920's, the place was the property of a British company called “Omnilith”.
In 1960, the towers of La Bruyère burned down and the owners of this time unfortunately did not rebuild them.
The upper floor of the 1000 square meters of the chateau and its dependency have been transformed into luxurious living areas which can be shared by up to five families, in the security and calm of this exclusive, pampered and peaceful facility,
Owned by a French-American family, who understands the needs of their international clientele, every effort has been made to assure that their stay will be as tranquil as possible.
