Downside lot's of seasonal pitches and really old vans on them
Upside price listed on notice board is for 1998 £8 a night (£10 including electric ) We paid £10 a night
Lots to do in the local area for
Walking
Fishing
Shopping 1/2 an hour to Manchester city centre 15 minutes to Oldham
Also if using Sat Nav to visit this site plot the route for Rakewood Road not the campsite (it is listed on Tom Tom’s own POI’s) if you try to use the auto setting it will try to take you the wrong side of the lake where there is no access to the site, although the “road” goes right around the lake
