Web site: http://www.haven.com/touring-
The site was new to Haven touring in 2010
Directions:
Easy to find Touring has it’s own entrance to the site. Although when we arrived the on–site chippies van was obscuring the sign for the separate entrance, which is on the Town side of the site.
For Haven it’s small and compact and has it’s own beach too.
Pitches:
46 Euro pitches have reinforced grass base, grass awning With a good tarmaced access roads
Slightly sloping (the website says flat but it’s not quite)
Each pitch is clearly marked, and large enough for Van Awning with the car next to it and loads of space (over 6 metres between units)
Each pitch has 16amp water & drain plus Analogue TV on the illuminated pylon
Heated shower block with 9 WC’s, 8 showers, baby changing, shaving point and hairdryer**
Separate shower and WC for disabled guests
Covered dishwashing area with 2 sinks
2 minute walk to the Park facilities which is not usual for Haven
Pup tents not accepted according to the site rules as are awning annexes not allowed but both seen on site
Dogs welcome.
The Park:
The Park’s central facilities offer “holiday fun” (according to Haven) with a large refurbished heated indoor pool complex with slide and bubble pool and an outdoor “Fun Tower” with it’s Climbing Wall with Abseiling and Zip Wire. There’s a crazy golf and Sports multipitch, There is also archery, pay as you play Fencing and football coaching, and pay as you play water activities. It’s just a short stroll (unusually for Haven) to the wide sandy beach with the Broads and Great Yarmouth a few miles away.
There’s a SPAR Convenience Store with Gift Shop which is open all hours, a Hair Dressing & Beauty Salon and a Launderette on site
Grab a bite to eat or drink at the Mash and Barrel (found on every Haven site) whilst
you do your emails on their FREE Wi-
Locally:
Lots to see from The Gate to the Roman fort at Caister and the Car museum at Caister Castle, to the Broads and Great Yarmouth and all it has to offer.
Impression of site:
Surprised actually as this is the SMALLEST Haven site we have been too. The surprises
continued with lack of security which seemed to only be INSIDE the Neptune’s Showbar,
and during the night when they regularly patrolled the site. Then FREE Wi-
Generally prices were similar to other Haven sites but Locally prices seemed to be lower than our hometown.
