This is a CL I've used which is 10 minutes walk from the  park and ride into the Chester city.

  It's ideal for a weekend.

The field is close mown grass and is surrounded by trees which make it quite private, but there are no hard standings.  There are electric hook ups (10 amps) and a new purpose built toilet and shower block.
Part of the farm is given over to a small riding school, but this doesn't interfere with the CL in any way.

The River Dee is within walking distance for those interested in coarse fishing.
The location is very quiet the field being well off the main road. The only drawback is a long rough track into the field which I was told was to be repaired.

Further afield there is the North Wales coast, the Wirrel Peninsula, Port Sunlight and the Canal Museum at Ellesmere Port. These places are all within easy driving distance. In fact there's enough to keep you busy in this area for a week or more.

The site is an acre of Lawned grass.  It appears to be a well-drained site.

There are six electric points.  Separate toilets for ladies and gents all kept extremely clean.

The farm appears to be mainly for stabling of horses and there is quite a bit of activity with exercising etc.

The drive to the farm is a long gravel track, which is fairly smooth but requires some care. Other than that the access is very easy from North or South, and very convenient for Chester.  The Retail Park on Sealand Road is a five-minute drive away. For visiting the City proper there is a Park and ride two minutes drive away.

The River Dee is at the end of the cul-de-sac road that the site is situated on.  Fishing is available.

Beware do not miss the right turn on to the farm track it is a dead end and if there are cars on the road turning round will be very interesting!  If you pass some cottages after the static site then you have gone too far!
